Working At Endless

This is a full-time position working at a minimum 40 hours a week. Generally, we work within US hours however, we heavily rely on asynchronous communication as our team is spread across the world. We like to balance our company vision & goals with individual autonomy for you to do your best work possible. Due to the nature of our business within the events industry you may be required to work extended hours, holidays and weekends.

Endless has been a remote-only company since 2015. We want you to work wherever in the world (though in some cases, like this role, that's wherever in North America) that makes you happy, inspires you daily and helps you become the person you wish to be (but with a stable internet connection)! You will work with team members scattered around the world and across time zones to build a better culture and service. Remote at Endless means you are comfortable with technology and are inherently self-sufficient in problem-solving and digital communication.

Job Summary

Technical Manager, part of the Operations team works closely with the Sales team and Program Management team to identify, price, and implement technologies required for a successful event. This includes detailing our technical approach based on provided scope, vetting technologies and working with teams of engineers and technicians to ensure AV and other technical elements come together to exceed client expectations. Events include corporate events, social events and non-profit events and always aim to provide the best experience possible, for all stakeholders. This position is responsible for:

  • Establishing rapport with clients on assigned accounts
  • Identifying technical solutions based on the identified scope of work
  • Assisting Program Managers pre-planning, event, and post event phases with all things related to technical and technical staffing
  • Working alongside Procurement Specialist to identify equipment and labor resources
  • Building, training and developing show crew for both live and virtual / hybrid
  • Act in the Show Caller or Technical Director role when required
  • Performing day-to-day client contact and conducting client meetings to uncover business needs and objectives
  • Working alongside Procurement Specialist and Program Manager to ensure accurate, complete, and timely invoicing as it relates to technical equipment and labor
  • Managing multiple projects at once
  • Communicating crucial information to the engineers and on-site teams
  • Participate in industry relevant training at least once per quarter
  • Following up and building long-term relationships with current clients and key stakeholders
  • Become a subject matter expert in event technology for events

Position Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in event operations, technical event production & audiovisual services for events
  • Previous experience in planning and executing virtual/hybrid events
  • Previous experience in planning large-scale events ($250,000+)
  • Based in North America, for the purposes of event travel
  • Ability to manage up to 15 programs at any time
  • Ability to travel up to 30% potentially including weekends and holidays, as needed
  • Passion, excitement, energy, humor, and the ability to convey this through video call, phone and email communications
  • Ability to educate the leads on potential solutions to their problems and being a subject matter expert
  • Great organizational skills to follow-up with previous clients & manage details of events
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with little supervision
  • Ability communicate clearly through email, video and messaging communication
  • Fast and reliable internet connection & computer

Brownie Points

  • Bachelor Degree, Associate Degree or specialization in technical production or related field
  • Experience using a CAD software
  • Previous experience in web design and app integrations
  • Project management software experience (Basecamp, Asana, Teamwork, Airtable, etc)
  • CRM (specifically Hubspot) experience
  • Inbound Certified
